i first saw El Anatsui's work in New York and I loved it. I've since seen it in many museums in many major cities (once you see it you can't unsee it).
Saw a 50 year retrospective today at Carriageworks. Putting my photos here because it will remind me what i saw, and because often my pix go nowhere but back up on google photos!

The Psyche Series for #sydsmlgly
This series of works is tiny: I'm submitting to Sydney's Smallest Gallery 2016, all works are maximum 3 x 3 x 3cm.
This page is one of my submissions (so I don't have to retype all of the details)
This series is inspired by Psyche's trials.
The entire series is made from miniature clothes pegs reconstructed.
Each piece is 3cm high, and the plinth they are standing on is 1.8cm in diameter.
I made these pieces on 6 December 2015.

Art sale at my place
I have an entire wardrobe, and an under-stair area bigger than Harry Potter spent his youthful years in, filled with canvases that I have painted, but never shown anyone except my art buddies.
I need to cut down on my space!
If you like my work and you don't have one on your wall, then remember that my ambition is to have my works in 1000 places by the time I'm 60.
You've not got much time to acquire one, but if you come to my place between 11 and 5 on Saturday 23 August 2014, you can acquire one very easily, for less than the cost of a dinner for two.
If you don't actually know me then please contact me for the address.
If you know me, but you don't know my address, same deal!
Here are some encaustic works I made last week at Sturt Craft College which will be for sale at least!

Hotel New Hampshire
I've been recycling / upcycling old books I find in the street.
I love John Irving's work, so I couldn't resist making something from the Hotel New Hampshire I found falling apart.
Here are two small concertinas (about 5 x 6cms).in purpose made boxes.
