I made a sketchbook as part of the sketchbook project, images of which you see below.
It's on tour right now around Chicago and the Central USA somewhere!
Here's the call number if you are ever in Brooklyn: 230.36-6
And here are some of the insides of the sketchbook, mostly completed on planes between Abu Dhabi and Paris. My sketches aren't sketches so much as collages extended with ink and coloured pencil (and a little white out in this case!).
it's a lovely way to fill a plane journey.

Macbeth
I have been converting Nicola's Macbeth calligraphy piece for months now. Almost run out of raw material!
Here is a winged book I made yesterday with which I'm quite pleased. Is hard to tell whether it's better on the coloured side of the other side.

There's also a photo of the winged book with the snake book which lives in the castle. I'm gifting these back to Nicola tonight so I am also adding a photo through the castle window which i like!

Pochoir adventures
Am experimenting with pochoir this week at Sturt Summer School in Mittagong.
Pochoir is a stencilling technique.
Here are some of my works.
Things i need to remember:
paint needs to be dabbed on and so needs to be quite tacky. If not it blobs and runs.
You can use sponges or brushes. The dabbing creates an interesting texture.
If you use transparent paints on black then a white under coat or pastel colours. Or it can look muddy.
