Receipt is acknowledged
The design on this edition variee of 5 books is created from some of my mother's NSW education department's paperwork from the 1970s.
It's awesomely official. All in passive tone. The language is circumlocutive and overly formal.
She filled it out by hand and made a handwritten copy.
The replies from the department are typewritten.
I played with the scanned versions in photoshop and printed on 80gsm orange paper.
Made 16 x 12 cm concertinas. I punched some holes (because I'm a one for seeing through things).
The 5 books make a stack that looks pretty cool.
I later added a further 14 books to the edition variee. Details here.

Liz Shreeve's works
Today in Berrima I came across the works of Liz Shreeve again.
She's had a few pieces exhibited at the cafe where I have Sunday breakfast in Marrickville.
Not sure how much of her work is laser cut, but having spent the last week looking at the potential of the laser cutter if I were her I'd be into it big-time!!
