In July when i played with the laser cutter i made a series of perspex discs some engraved with words from Jacques Prevert's Chanson des escargots qui s'en vont... which i have used before in my work.
Tonight while ostensibly clearing up my art table i pulled together this mobile using some of those discs, some beads and some fishing line.
The beauty is in the transparency. So all the photos include the shadows which i like most of all.
My cat jenny had been going crazy with first the fishing line and then the glint of the discs in the light.
It's about 30cm long.
